Ms. Novoa

Hello students and welcome! Let me take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Christina Novoa. I teach Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus at Founders Academy of Las Vegas. This is my first year of teaching and I am beyond excited about it! I love being an educator. It's one of my passions in life. As a teacher, it's not just my job to make sure you learn how to do math. It is my job to teach you how to learn. My goal is not only to help you succeed in my class but to teach you how to think critically and use deductive reasoning to navigate your lives and become successful adults. 

 

Just a little about me, I'm a born and raised Las Vegas native. I have two wonderful, adorable, smart little boys, Xavier and Ronin, who are 7 and 6 respectively. I have a 2-year-old pitbull named Eli who is a giant teddy bear and my furry third child. I love hiking, fitness, and family vacations. I'm a huge football fan, go Giants! And I'm not ashamed to admit it but I've become totally addicted to Pokemon Go!

Now that we have that out of the way! :) This site is meant to help you, as well as your parents. You'll be able to find the course syllabus, homework assignments, projects, class updates, important dates and other reminders, as well as a discussion forum where you can connect with myself and your classmates to coordinate study groups or discuss assignments. I'll also be recording my lectures periodically and uploading them here for a study reference.
